GCNP and its ASEAN counterparts, led by Global Compact Network Thailand as host and in partnership with UNCT Thailand and U.N. ESCAP, held an in-person forum themed, “Uniting Business: Sustainability in ASEAN” on June 2, 2022 at the ESCAP Hall, U.N. Conference Centre, The United Nations Building in Rajadamnern Nok Avenue in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Global Compact Local Networks in the ASEAN region that collaborated for this event are composed of Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines and Malaysia and Brunei. The Forum was attended in-person by over 100 select leaders from the private and the public sector along with the U.N. system to discover local and regional solutions for advancing policies that not only drive economic growth but accelerate progress towards the objectives of SDGs and the Paris Agreement in the ASEAN region.
GCNP Chairperson, Ms. Ma. Victoria “Vickie” Tan, was one of the featured panelists of the Forum session on “ASEAN SMEs: In the Driving Seat for Transformational Change towards Sustainable Development.”
